First, you want to know I can get the job done for you, that investing in a relationship with me is going to result in an improvement in your operations.
I have 25 years of successful experience in all aspects of operations management. I was recruited into a variety of companies, including Boeing, Microsoft and Blackboard, where I was fortunate enough to work with (and learn from) some very good people, and contributed to making significant improvements to divisional and companywide operations and bottom lines – in one case, the improvements to an information systems implementation I helped manage added millions of dollars to my employer’s bottom line.
I’ve successfully managed operations in the OEM and retail channels. I directed operations in traditional manufacturing & distribution channels; and ecommerce.
I’ve had the privilege of teaching Business in a fine university.
My emphasis has been on process improvement, enterprise-level system implementation, and especially change management to ensure operations are successfully adopted, and even more important, produce a measurable ROI.
I believe improvement in a business’s operations can be achieved in a way that makes life better for everyone in the business – a smoother, more functional system and process that results in greater levels of efficiency while reducing the churn and disruption that can keep good people from working at their highest capacity. I’ve become pretty good over time at identifying ways to make that happen.

So Really, Who Is Mark Gunter?
I’ve been married to the same woman for 36 years, and couldn’t be happier about that fact. I’m the father to four beautiful children who became beautiful adults. I’m a grandfather who thinks it might be one of the best jobs yet.
I’m fortunate enough to live in a place I think is one of the most beautiful corners of world, and I enjoy being out in God’s creation whenever I can be; whenever possible, with my family and good friends. Sometimes that’s fly fishing in the world’s best rivers, or camping in Yellowstone National Park; or, maybe just riding my Harley around the western states!
I’ve been blessed with good health, good fortune, and meaningful work.
I enjoy time spent with a good book, and if I do say so myself, I’m pretty handy with a hammer and a saw. (I did, in fact, build our first home.)
Let’s Talk
So now you have a little better sense of who I am. Of course, there’s no substitute for talking with someone to really get a sense of how they might be able to help move your business to the next level. So let’s do that. I’ll look forward to discussing your situation and objectives. If I think I can help, we can talk about the next step; if I don’t, I’ll tell you, and I may know someone who can.
Finding a leader with Mark’s broad range of strategic and operational expertise, vision, and drive for excellence is hard to come by. Mark’s strong business acumen and thoughtful leadership makes him a truly respected leader in the organization. Mark leads by example and possesses an innate ability to mentor, motivate and support others to be successful in their areas of responsibility; I have both personally and professionally learned a tremendous amount from Mark and would recommend him to any organization looking to take their enterprise to the next level. ˮ
